Become a herdshare member and have fresh milk every week.
When you purchase part ownership of our dairy cow you own a share of her milk.
1 share is equivalent to 1 gallon per week.
1/2 share is equivalent to 1/2 gallon per week.
How do I get the milk?
You will be able to obtain your fresh milk, that you are entitled through your share, weekly at designated pick up spots.

Buying Clubs are encouraged! This is when a group of customers from the same area designate one person in the group to run out to the farm or pick up location and pick up everyone's milk and distribute it for the week.
How much does it cost?
To obtain one share in your name you are required to pay and a monthly boarding fee of $50.00 / month. In return, you will receive 1 gallon of milk per week per share. Or, 1/2 share at $25.50 per month if you chose a half gallon per week.
Membership - A monthly pro-rated amount for the percentage of your cow ownership. Our buy-in is non-refundable but lasts a lifetime. Once a part of our farm family you are always welcome back.
Board Fee - This is the "boarding fee" we charge to keep up your cow. In return, you receive your milk.

Can I hold my membership?
Absolutely! You may put a hold on your delivery anytime you wish.
What if I do not wish to have a heardshare anymore?
We will make adjustments to all shares at the end of the month. If you wish to stop your membership completely that's fine, just let us know. You can come back anytime. Herdshares are non transferable from customer to customer.

Tuscumbia - On the Farm - Saturdays
Florence - 318 North Court Street - Wednesdays
How do I pay for my share?
The first month of your membership you will be billed for the buy-in amount + that month's board fee. The second month and the months thereafter, you will only need to pay for the board fee.
Billing occurs at the end of the month. Billing will be for the entirety of the month unless you begin in the middle of the month. Any adjustments to your share need to be made at the end of the month please.

HOW TO PASTEURIZE YOUR MILK: Pasteurizing milk is a simple concept: the recommendation is to heat milk to 161 degrees for 15 seconds (please note that this is far gentler than grocery store pasteurized milk, which is heated to nearly 300 degrees!) or to 145 degrees for 30 minutes.
WARNING: This product has not been pasteurized and may contain harmful bacteria. Pregnant women, children, the elderly and persons with lowered resistance to disease have the highest risk of harm from use of this product.
